“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” ― George Bernard Shaw Ideas are powerful and creative and excite us as we try to put them into action. However, ideas bump up against our beliefs and habitual ways of behaving. That’s because a new idea is outside your normal operating box. The idea is a new way to look at something or an improvement to an old method. However old habits die hard. Others you show your idea to let you know that it’s been tried before and failed In your own mind your ego voice tells you it will never succeed because it costs too much, it’s too complicated or just too silly to even bothering with. Ideas are the essence of newness. They are the seed of the mighty oak. They are the change point of civilizations. If not for ideas how would we move ahead? You have more ideas than you will ever use. However the habitual mind thought is to reject anything out of the norm. It’s just one more reason to stay in your box defined as your life. Listen to your good mind for a few minutes as you let new ideas arise about your life and what could be different. If you don’t consider any limitations you will be pleased and amazed at what your mind can come up with. Then you can accept that the possibilities of your life are way more than you might ever have thought. This is who you are.
