“Meddle not in the affairs of dragons for you art crunchy and good with ketchup.” Anonymous I've been thinking lately about the dragon of bad habits.
Dragons are large, scary looking and sometimes breathe fire. They can cut a huge swath with their tail and create destruction wherever they go.
Dragons have a major bad habit. That is, it pretty much destroys whatever is in its path. This is without regard to the nature or value of what is in front of it.
Typically we need a hero to slay the dragon.
You are both the hero and the dragon.
The threat from your ego is your internal dragon which has the bad habit of lack of awareness that you bring to your life.
In so doing your dragon creates chaos and destruction without regard to who or what is in your life.
The hero is also within you.
Your hero is your hopeful habit of self-discipline to pay attention to your life moment to moment.
This is who you are.
